Posted: 14 Jun 2020 09:56 AM PDT I do short videos as a hobby and when quarantine came, I started BWF training and you guys have helped me a lot, and while doing calisthenics, I was inspired to make this short video edit: to capture what it is like to slack off and not practice and how it is like to train and the amazing feeling you get during your reps, because thats what I felt. I wrote that script and asked a voice actor here on Reddit to do it for free and he agreed (INCREDIBLE VOICE THAT GUY HAS BTW u/JSSVoices ) and then compiled the whole thing together and voila! I hope this will motivate some people. p.s, the video is not published yet, I gave you the honour to see it first :D Edit 2: I'm not the man in front of the camera, but the one behind it :D [link] [comments]
Tip to get the straddle press to handstand for those with a not so flexible pancake Posted: 14 Jun 2020 08:26 AM PDT Did a short video explaining a starting position that makes the press much easier if you're not flexible in your pancake, as you'll see the case is for me Still takes a lot of shoulder strength. For reference I can freestanding HSPU x 3, but the straight arm press felt impossible before this tip with the hips Link to video attached straddle press to handstand for the not so flexible [link] [comments]
Question regarding the forward head posture exercises. Posted: 14 Jun 2020 01:02 PM PDT So I recently read a post about a guy on here who mostly fixed his forward head posture by doing three things (https://www.reddit.com/r/bodyweightfitness/comments/7rjngr/i_could_finally_fix_my_posture_and_forward_neck/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb), and I've decided to start doing this myself, as I sit in front of a computer for most of my day and have poor head posture. Anyway, I have some questions about this to make sure I'm not doing it wrong. 1) what time of day is best to do these for best chance of improvement? 2) am I supposed to do 10 of the face down, head lift exercise, then 1 of the "back touch" exercise in a set? How long do I hold the back touch one, or do I do it multiple times like the first excersize? 3) Should I do it daily or 3-4x a week? Thanks so much if you can answer! [link] [comments]
Not having time for calisthenics Posted: 14 Jun 2020 12:55 PM PDT I'm gonna start working in 3 weeks and I feel like I might not have time to workout anymore since my workout last 1-2 1/2 hours. For all the people who work & do calisthenics how do you manage to do it? [link] [comments]
| Graduating from the RR: Uppr/Lwr or Push/Pull Posted: 14 Jun 2020 12:20 PM PDT I haven't completely exhausted the RR but would like to reduce time taken and begin integrating static hold progressions (planche, levers etc.) and also begin with the movement patterns for Oly. lifts i.e. theres more I want to do than just whats in the RR. What is the general consensus on moving to a 6-day split from the RR? Also while not exactly common, where would one slip in the movements for the Oly. lifts? On a pull day? On a lower day? | Posted: 13 Jun 2020 09:20 PM PDT Are there any good exercise databases that people use? I recently came across the AceFitness one. Traditionally, I have relied on standalone programs or various websites for workout ideas. I am wondering if there is a centralized database out there. [link] [comments] |
