What got you over your mental block to start actively losing weight?

I'm a 27 year old woman who is 5'4" and 190lbs. I've been at a weight plateau of 185-190 for maybe 6 or 8 years (I don't even remember anymore). I think that if I had really tried, I might have been able to lose the weight, but I have a serious mental block of not even believing it's possible at this point. I come from a long line of women who did not take care of themselves in any way (physical, mental, emotional) and I'm pretty determined to break that cycle, especially because I now have a daughter who is almost 2 who I want to live a rich and beautiful life that doesn't center worrying about the state of her body. I also want to model being resilient and steadfast and accomplishing challenging goals. Also, I'd really like to just not feel so frail and slow all the time. I want to feel vital. I'm in my 20s and I've literally always felt at least a decade older than I am. Having these very clear motivations in mind, I still have always had a major block to actually committing to sustainable exercise. I actually eat really well. I cook all my meals, eat almost exclusively whole foods and high quality, grass fed or pasture raised, organic meat. I think that prevents me from gaining more weight, but exercise is probably the missing link here. ANYWAY. For those of you who just really had a hard time actually starting and making any real progress, what got you past the mind block? Also thanks for reading my life story 😅
