Sunday Show Off - Because it's perfectly fine to admit you're also doing bodyweight fitness to do cool tricks in front of people!

    Posted: 21 Nov 2020 11:53 PM PST

    HEY YOU,

Have you taken any recent pics of those sweet gains, your human flag, or those handstands off the wall you're finally holding?

Do you have other bodyweight fitness accomplishments you've made and want the world to know about because your friends and family can't appreciate how hard L-sit progressions are??

This is the thread for you to share all that and inspire others at the same time! I'm talking about another S-S-SU-SUNDAY SHOW OFF!!

Note that we aren't limiting you to what we're discussing on the FAQ. Show us anything that blew your mind the moment you realized you had it. This may include aspects of: gymnastics, climbing, parkour, weight loss/gain, posture, etc. They are all more than welcome in this thread.

We also want to remind you that we've been sharing your content on @redditbwf on both Instagram and Twitter. Help us grow our sub's social media in order to reach out to non-Redditors across these other platforms!

    Last week's Show Off thread

Check out some of the previous Sunday Show Off threads for more inspiration! Archives here.

    Cold calisthenics

    Posted: 22 Nov 2020 03:11 AM PST

So I can do 5muscle ups in a row inside, but on outside I just can't do any. It's starting to be cold in here so it's like -5 degree outside. So do I need to warm up more or what? All basic moves feels also harder.

Did working out made you strong and confident enough to stand up for yourself in a situation?

    Posted: 21 Nov 2020 08:12 PM PST

Today a guy grabbed my dick while I was going to the park to work out (around 4:45 am in the morning). It was very dark and quiet. The guy was not big at all, I'm 5'7" and he was even shorter than me. I got extremely scared and couldn't do anything. I should have swung but I was too shocked.

Now that I think of this, what's the point of working out at all? What's the point of these stupid Mantle pull ups and Bulgarian Dips that I'm doing if I can't even defend myself. I'm not traumatized. I'm just very demotivated from working out. Who cares if you can planche or not if you can't fight a smaller guy than you.

What kind of training should I do get confident at fighting? Is weight training better? Did calisthenics made you good at fights?

When is it time to replace your Gymnastic Rings (with cam buckle straps)?

    Posted: 21 Nov 2020 04:14 PM PST

How do you tell when it is worn down to the point it may be dangerous to use? How long do the cam buckles last for?
